Meme and Lyrics
MEME!
Comment with the name of a character from one of my fandoms. I will tell you three things that character received in his or her Christmas stocking, and three of that character's New Year's resolutions.

Next up... I've been having fun with Regina Spektor songs. =D Like usual. I LOVE her lyrics.
Apres Moi - seriously, if you ever hear this song... listen for the beginning of the instrumental near the end. I just hold my headphones tight because it's so strong. Fevrale dostat chernil i plakat,/ Pisat O Fevrale navsnryd...
Baby Jesus - Regina only plays this at concerts, so I've never heard it, but I agree with every word of the lyrics. All the believers, they were smiling/ and winking at each other/ I could honestly say I was scared for my life
Baobabs - One of my personal favorites because I love The Little Prince. I wouldn't raise my child in this city anyway/ They grow up too savvy and they grow up too fast/ And they know about buying shit and they know about sex.
Braille - Who doesn't love the King? She hadn't been a virgin, and she hadn't been a god/ So she named the baby Elvis/ To make up for the royalty he lacked.
Buildings - My personal favorite. I quoted it as the chapter title for chapter 10 of With Each Passing Day. He'd go to work and she'd take a sick day, rotting at the core/ And by the time he came home, she'd scrubbed the bathroom and made it smell like pine.
Consequence of Sounds - The song that made me SURE I was in love with Regina. And the grave digger's still getting caught in the machine/ Even though it's a whole other daydream/ It's another town, it's another world/ Where the kids are asleep and the loans are paid.
Devil Come to Bethlehem - 'Cause she's hilarious. Mary and Joseph are so bad/ Kissing in the park/ He practices dentistry without a liscense/ But it's alright 'cause Mary reads the books and she's got his back.
Düsseldorf - A current favorite.
Happy Hooker - How can you not like the title?
Hotel Song - Nothing needs to be said about this one.
Human of the Year Award
Long Brown Hair - If you can guess why I like this one, you win. =D
Love, You're a Whore - ... Just look at the title. You're a whore/ Love, love, love, love/ 'Cause we bruised you and abused you/ But time after time/ He kisses back, kisses hard on the mouth
Mermaid - Based on the ORIGINAL Little Mermaid.
Mockingbird - I never liked the original. This one's better.
Pavlov's Daughter - This one actually gave me nightmares. If I hear another song about angels/ If I see another feather on the dumb box/ I'm gonna head down to Babylon and get me some whiskey.
Ne Me Quitte Pas - I love how she overexaggerates her words.
Reginasaurus - Again, the title says it all.
Samson - The first I ever heard.
Silly Eye-Color Generalizations - Such cute lyrics.
Summer in the City - Regina makes a better man than most men.
Twenty Years of Snow - The background music = love. His daughter's twenty years of snow/ She's twenty years of strangers looking into each other's eyes.

My personal fve song is Fidelity. I absolutely adore it. And Somedays. And I love Ode To Divorce. ::nods::

Anyway...I choose Mac.

My sister LOVES Fidelity. I love it so much. I just didn't put it down because everyone and their grandmother already knows it. XD The music video = love. And the "Us" video = even more love. I have the CD with Somedays and Ode to Divorce (first one I got), and those songs are just GREAT.

MAC!
Stocking:
1 Danny snuck in one of those pens that stand up by themselve one night. He couldn't figure out quite what to give Mac, and, hey, it fits in a stocking and it's pretty damn impressive.
2 A piece of mistletoe, though Mac still can't figure out who it's from. It was a bit torn up after Danny's pen was placed on top of it, and it's signed "Santa".
3 The M-7 Secret Agent Spy Ear. It wasn't actually in his stocking, but rather on his desk, wrapped up. Mac isn't sure whether this is intended for use or not.

Resolutions:
1 To NOT use the above spy ear.
2 To finally get around to buying a new microscope because Flack was trying to learn how to use it and... oops.
3 To stop being the first one to walk into embarrassing crime scenes (eg: frat parties, people drowned in toilets, murders involving naked women, etc.)

I actually have the "Us" video on a disc. Bought it for fifty cents at a used record store (they had no idea it wasn't a CD). I can't watch it at the moment because it won't play on my computer or DVD player so when my old college opens up again I'll watch it there.

And ::snerk:: I bet Stella gave him the mistletoe.

Man, if I had any talent at all, I'd upload that video for you. XD It's on her website, which is where I watch it when I'm too lazy to walk two feet to get the disc. *grins*

NO WAI. THE MISTLETOE WAS FROM JANE. DUH. (Okay, yeah, Stella.)

Fidelity + Samson + Somedays = LOVELY SONGS. Im such a Regina fan, too!

Um. Um. Um. Only one? One you say? PRESSURE.

Stella.

How did you know that was coming?

REGINA IS MY GIRLFRIEND. I STALK HER AND GIVE HER ROSES. =D (I wish. I'd go lesbian for her ANY day!)

Stella? PFFT. I wasn't expecting that AT ALL. I was expecting... um... Chad?

Stocking Stuffers:
1 A water gun. Like with Mac's spy ear mentioned above, she isn't sure whether this is intended for use or not. She still has a small cup of water in her bottom desk drawer in case.
2 A shirt. Well, that's not quite it. It's the type of shirt Flack would wear if he were female. It's like a vomiting craft store in zany colors. Stella suspects this is from Lindsay.
3 Two tickets to the opera. Stella didn't get it until Peyton walked past her office, smiling and giving Stella a thumbs up, and now it seems to make sense. (Peyton later told Stella that if Mac's phone went off to slap him into oblivion and snog him if needed.)

Resolutions:
1 To stop working with men in general. After Hawkes' sneaky grope after his prison stint (looks like he wasn't there long enough to get a 'mate'), Flack's 'proposal', and Mac's 'I appreciate you', she's scared of working around them.
2 To start wearing shirts that don't reveal as much. Like above, it's starting to creep her out.
3 To take Lindsay shopping. Even though Lindsay looks... strangely pregnant, there's no reason for her to wear some of those outfits.
